NEWTON, Iowa (March 8, 2006) - Service Directions, Inc. (SDI), based in Yonkers, New York, was recently awarded Maytag Commercial Laundry's Red Carpet Service® Excellence Award. SDI, a Maytag® Commercial Laundry equipment supplier, qualified for this honor by supporting the Red Carpet Service program and by demonstrating the highest commitment to customer service in the industry. This is a record fourth time that SDI has received the award.

Given on an annual basis, the Red Carpet Service Excellence Award is presented to the company that best exemplifies the service and dependability represented by the Maytag brand in the Commercial Laundry division. The award criterion includes: service response time, service tracking, customer comments and loyalty, customer service etiquette, and a commitment by the company to continually engage in Red Carpet Service training courses.

Several members of the SDI management team were on hand to receive the Red Carpet Service Excellence Award, including Ron Garfunkel, president and CEO; Steve Jagde, COO; Andy Tegan, vice president, customer support services, and Barry Heller, director of marketing and client relations. The presentation took place during Maytag Commercial Laundry's annual meeting held in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to receiving the 2005 Red Carpet Service Excellence Award, the company also received the Maytag Star Performer Award and the Maytag Outstanding Service Award. SDI was founded in 1952 and recently consolidated all operations to Yonkers, New York. SDI provides laundry room design and management services throughout the New York tri-state area.
